Connect to Private EC2

Attach IAM role and restart EC2 instance.

1. Access the EC2 service management console

   • Click select Private Windows Instance.
   • Click Actions.
   • Click Security.
   • Click Modify IAM Role.

2. At the Modify IAM Role page.

   • In the IAM role section, select SSM-Role.
   • Click Update IAM role.

3. Click select Private Windows Instance.

   • Click Instance state.
   • Click Reboot instance to perform restart, then click Reboot to confirm.

Connect to private EC2 instance server.

1. Access the Systems Manager - Session Manager service console

   • Click Start session.

2. Click select Private Windows Instance.

   • Click Start session.

3. Type the ipconfig command to check the IP address information of the Private Windows Instance as shown below.
